The following is the editing of a message posted earlier today on Boomboxery.com: Hello, there, people. Now, for all I know, the Aiwa CA-70 that was discussed in this late August/early September 2012 topic on Boomboxery.com is the same one that I have in mind. (Though now being sold from another country.) Anyway, the seller of the CA-70 I have in mind states in part: "It's not working. It doesn't power on at all." The rest of that big, generally good-looking, single-deck stereo is in fair to good condition. I sort of feel that the price that the seller is asking for it is a bit steep. But, as my message to him(?) immediately amended: that's just my self-consciousness from knowing that someone else with decidedly deeper (and non-conflicted) pockets can come along and scoop it up (don't throw your back out) and fix it up him- or herself (or get a non-disaffected professional to do the repairing). Anyway, James (aka jimmyjimmy19702010 on Boomboxery) suggested about the CA-70 discussed over on that 'site: "When you say it won't power up, could it be simply a forgotten wire reattachement [sic]? Or maybe a crossed wire?" Is that all the problem is with the unit that I have recently discovered? (The unit that, again, I wonder might be the one discussed over on Boomboxery.com half a decade earlier ...)
I do not know about the model in Canada but I do know about mine but I have not gotten to those models yet unless there is some interest in them, maybe here I don't know. This below is what I do know. IMG_3078 Aiwa CA-70 CA-W10 CA-W20 sun porch 26 Oct 2017 70D IMG_3078 Aiwa CA-70 CA-W10 CA-W20 sun porch 26 Oct 2017 70D IMG_3079 Aiwa CA-70 CA-W10 CA-W20 sun porch 26 Oct 2017 70D flash Ok now that I have read all about this I took this picture out of my day Aiwa CA-70 CA-W10 CA-W20 sun porch 26 Oct 2017 70D then i found this listing: www.ebay.com/itm/Aiwa-CA-70-boombox-vintage-1983-rare-collectible-for-repair/172933252921?hash=item2843a00739:g:GakAAOSw~fpZsK2R price usd 156.41 ship US $82.13 and then I just went and played mine as the radio works and the deck motor runs (as I can hear it working) but no play or ff or rew turning. I noticed that the woofers are surrounds deteriorated as then work but they need new surrounds & in the months past when i was refoaming speaker drivers at http://freemantuell.com/ Want to contact us? I spent my re-foaming money on other speakers and so I don't have enough (right now oct 2017) Money to spend on more re-foaming until I sell any more boomboxes, as the ones I did have the woofers refoamed have not been sold yet. I just cannot keep repairing speakers until I sell something but everybody want the big things and I am unwilling to sell the very few big ones I have left until I have sold some smaller ones to have enough to buy the parts to repair the bigger ones. Most of all I can wait ya'll out on if an when I ever sell the big ones
Yeah I don't either, I just know that when I have the inkling to do so and more money for more belts yea they don't cost a lot but then I am broke with $ and rich with boombox and time as this is my full time job... That if.... I have Aiwa bbx's for sale as some have been repaired and some still need fixing, and ....
