Hi Guys & Girls I have some cassettes to give away. I got some cassettes a while back, I was only interested in some of the pre-recorded ones but I had to get the lot as it was a job lot. Anyway I have picked out the ones I wanted, now I have the rest to give away. I don’t do second-hand blank cassettes unless they are TDK MA-R or the original TDK MA-XG. Some are pre-recorded & the rest are TDK SA90’s and 1 TDK SA100 If you are interested in any or all of these cassettes, just reply in this thread saying you are interested. You can have as many or as little of them as you like, if many more people say yes than there are cassettes then you will be limited to just 5 cassettes each. So when replying to this post please list the cassettes in order of preference. Use the columns / Row numbers to indicate what you would like. First come first serve, since I am giving them away here and on Tapeheads I will be looking at the time stamp on your post to workout who was first. This free give away is open to everyone no matter what part of the world you are at, and don’t worry I will pick up the postage as well. By the way Cassette in Row 4 / Col 1 is a Maria Carey – Emotions but missing it’s cover. See attached image of cassettes.
So beautifully generous of you, My-Oh-My lady of boomboxery does such things: an inspiration to the rest of us I wonder: why do you stay off in-home recorded cassettes? I buy those in bulk off eBay and make my life easy when finding something interesting on Tidal: no pains on whether its worth unzipping UX-Pro or MA-X, I just hit Rec button on my Nak! Myguess as long as I pay Tidal $20/month it is legal!!???????
While I do like that album by Maria Carey, I think shipping would be a little too costly and don't think you need to do that, do you have any Billy Squire?
To be honest it’s because I don’t know what has happened to them and I have not had a good experience in the past. I also only ever buy pre-recorded, if its something I really want and can’t find it anywhere else then I take a chance on it.
How bad was that? its only yesterday that I noticed this thread: Sony CD-ITs destroyed my heads and cursed myself for buying a bulk of those. Well, at least Nak head is OK, but now I am officially worried! Here is what happens when Type I cassette is left in Play/Dead mode for a few years: Capstan is Pitted, not just dirty!
That is an extreme case Jorge, i am more talking about dropouts and chewed cassettes. Besides i have plenty of new unused cassettes, the vast majority of which are TDK MA-XG so i have no need for used cassettes.
