Hello all, Hugo gave me a great idea to repost my old collection post. I hope you all enjoy the old pics. I have since sold and bought many players so this doesn't really reflect my current collection. I will probably make a new collection post eventually or a video or series of videos on my YouTube channel for walkmans: Hi everyone, I haven't posted anything in a while, so I thought I was due. I've also purchased and sold a lot of walkmans since my last big post so I thought I'd share with you all what I have right now. Like always I hope you enjoy the pics. Let's start with my Favorite... Aiwa. I like to call these "The First Four" TP-S30 CS-J1 HS-P1 HS-F1 David
Up Next is the *02 series HS-P02 with matching Aiwa HR-S01 (yellow) and HR-S1 Japan Market (Silver) HR-S01/S1 I have since sold this one. But I figured I'd post a pic of it. HS-F02 HS-J2 CassetteBoy and HS-J02 HS-T02
My Favorite Aiwa series...*07/400 series HS-P05MkII Aiwa HS-P02MkII HS-F07 HS-U07 HS-T400 HS-J07 and HS-J400
And here's the last of my Aiwa's, the *09/600 series and two others Aiwa HS-G09 HS-T09 HS-J600 HS-J700 HS-P50
Wow that's quite the collection of Aiwa's there, few I'd love to add to my small lot. I have a CS-J1 and a HS-J02 (when it arrives!) and a few newer Aiwa's. Thanks for sharing!
Ok...The JVC collection. Not as big as my Aiwa Collection but it'll do. JVC CQ-1K CQ-F2E and F2K CQ-11K MQ-5K Microcassette Recorder PC-M100 CX-5K CX-7K
And for a Bonus, I'll post my Sanyo Collection today also. Sanyo (l-r) M-4440, M-5550, M-4430 M-G1 and M-G2 M-G2 Next will be Panasonic and Misc walkmans. And then...the Sony collection. Enjoy
Just a little extra today. Thought I'd show you all where I keep my walkmans (and tapes.) I'll probably store them one of these days so they stay preserved, sealed in bubble-wrap. Don't worry, I don't expose them to direct sunlight all the time. Besides, the sunlight is filtered through the trees out back.
That PC-M100 thing looks like a great idea. You could do that with some modern smart phones - it reminds me of the Razer phone which can dock into a laptop: https://www.google.co.uk/search?q=r...l-TaAhVPVsAKHcR_B1QQ_AUICigB&biw=1920&bih=986 How much effort would it take to make that into a ghetto blaster?
Love the white Sony Watchman! I have one of these in grey and have hacked the inside to turn it into a digital media centre / retro games console You can see it working here
Awesome. It looks like the sort of thing Sony should be making now. What CPU is it running ? Regarding the comment on batteries I keep wonder if a Drill Battery could be used although they seem to come in strange voltages. No brand drills are really cheap these days.
Thanks for the suggestion - would be great if it was truly portable I have incorporated the switch on the side of the unit, wired to turn the LCD panel on/off - hopefully this would reduce battery useage so the drill battery sounds promising... In terms of CPU, this project uses a Raspberry Pi 3B+ with a Pimoroni phat DAC My current project uses the (tiny) Pi Zero W and is completely headless (no screen) and has very low power demands. It will run from a 3.7V Lipo phone battery - watch this space!
This looks awesome.. There are so many cool collections here, but non how it looks at home. Great collection
Nice collection! Very cool. And having these nice devices in sight is just so much better than keeping them in boxes... it's art that deserves to be shown.
