    Hi Guys,

Been a while since I've swung by. I thought my taping day were done. They a Sony Pro Walkman, a TCK 611S and a TCM-6 came my way at Xmas. All projects. The TCM-6 is now done. Just needed a re-belt and clean. Sounds amusingly good for what it is, albeit in mono-tastic sound.

My current project is a Ferguson 3T29 (mentiond here before). I've re-belted and clean etc but now the speed is slow! Does anyone know where the speed control is? I've looked and can see 3 pots on the main PCB, but no sure which one is which. Nothing on the can around the motor.

Any advice would be appreciated - would love to get this back up and running.

    Best

    Jules

Hi, I have several of these nice quality players, here's a picture with the speed adjustment pot circled in red.

Finished it late last night. Seriously one of the nicest sounding players I've heard in years. A fiddle to dismantle but built way better than most others at the price (£29.99 in September 1985). The brass inserts for example contribute to a fairly weighty machine. Great to hear it again. Thanks again!

    Hi all

New here I came by this exact model recently, replaced the belt and when I press play the reel motor will spin and work fine but rewind and fast forward don’t work, if I take the belt off i can see the motor will spin but it doesn’t look like has the power to move the belt.

Is this likely a fault with the motor or am I missing something?

    thank you in advance
