better than the m90, there stunning Ryan, maybe i should have kept mine bro im actually thinking of selling my m90's now as i just don't use them anymore which is such a shame but im sure i would regret it lad and with the prices i know i would NEVER get another also in real terms what are they worth 3 grand the pair...im always complaining about the prices but i could spend 3 grand in less than 20 seconds, it wouldn't even buy a half decent car for example so i really don't know dude
I would glady take either since they aren't on the shelves yet but pricing is going space-ward at high speed. It seems to be a seller's market, I'd move them on to a new home Raheem. We haven't heard much on the pioneer components lately?
The pioneers both died sadly mister x, most of the caps have failed but they still power up....i would gladly give them to someone but i can't post any more bro they were supposed to have been serviced but when people say this salt comes to mind, funny thing i bought an aiwa mini system which i had back in the 90's aiwa nsx999 mk2....i know this has been serviced as these just don't work also i have bought some new Technics amps and equ's lad, one imported from japan also bought these cheap and can take a pounding on the 999 https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/PAIR-Max...e=STRK:MEBIDX:IT&_trksid=p2060353.m2749.l2649
I have enough gear that I can rotate the equipment when something acts up, I'm starting to get to the point where I'm going to have to do some maintanance, especially the tape decks and their belts. Luckily I've only had some smaller portables that showed up toast, nothing big and expensive.
i don't use tape anymore man just youtube and internet radio now, used to love tape great when you're out, now with constant maintenance turning over every hour i just can't be bothered any more, my 1 tb flash drive has hundreds of albums and they don't chew up, im to old for all this malarkey now lad, my m90's are fully working and thats about all i care about, been getting shot of loads of amps etc that i just didn't use, you saw technicsDans collection, bought a nice sansui amp which i will keep, was supposed to be rated at 200w p/c but that was nonsense, cant find the model online at the moment, seems strange as people were asking well over a k for it but i had one much cheaper, great dual mono amp actually all my amps are dual mono now lad

I'm the same, I've got a million songs on my computer but when I'm out in the shop, nothing beats cranking up a tape, it's beautiful watching all of the little parts moving to produce the music. Wheels spinning and loud music will always put a smile on my face.
I appreciate the positive feedback. I've had the Gold C100 since 2012. I think I've had the Silver one for about 2 years now. Been tinkering with both to get them to where they show decent. It's so nice when done and you can sit back for the reward and enjoyment. Thanks for the kind words. I know what you mean about the M90. They go for insane prices. Do you sell?...or do you enjoy ownership more? One thing I have sometimes struggled with is owning a box that I am afraid to use for fear of it breaking and being devalued. Then I'll snap out of that mode and use the thing and not care figuring that I might as well use them before caps dry up and they stop working on their own. That's the thing I hate about electronics. They're going to deteriorate whether they're used or not. Father time works on us all. Fortunately for me, I got into the M90 before the prices went into insane mode.
3 GRAND?! HA! I barely spent more than $3.00 on the big, loud system I had in my first car... and it drowned-out the mega-buck system of a stereo shop's show-van!
This is where my old Motorola tube-type system in a [Dutch Modern] cabinet draws it's strength. It's all-original, but still works fine. Just wish the tubes weren't so worn-out, like tubes tend to get... or the speaker select/activation switches worked clean & reliably. I tell ya': Getting that center speaker pumping really make a night-&-day difference to the sound! Especially since it lacks reverb.
