Hi stef, Unfortunately, you can't buy that volume pot. It's extremely rare, as most parts for these walkmans are nowadays. I don't know what your repair skills are, but my best bet would be repairing your existing potentiometer, if it's not completely destroyed or missing altogether. I have repaired a couple of potentiometers successfully, that had the PCB broken. Otherwise, the only option is to search on ebay for the part number or "walkman pot/potentiometer" and hope to find it one day. I just searched for it now and it doesn't return any results. Or buy a donor unit that has other problems and an intact volume pot.

That would be great! Was this pot perhaps more widely used, because there really is no reason to have this component still in stock to repair 40 year old small electronic devices. Can you post a picture of the part after you’ve received it?

These pots are often broken because the wipers get loose from the plastic shaft. If that's the issue, they're fixable by dismantling it and reattaching the wipers.
