After changing belt (from fixyouraudio) and soldering board I tried to play the tape.

    1. The tape is inside, motor spins (same thing happens without cassette and pushed tape detector).
    2. When I press play motor spins but capstans do not (barely moving when motor stops spinning).
    3. Winding doesn't work - motor squeaks loudly when moving forward but tape doesn't move. It doesn't squeak but moves when rewinding, tape doesn't move.

Checked voltage on motor points and it seems to be fine.

    Any help would be appreciated.

Please add a picture, although I think I know which switch you are referring to. It might help another S2Go member in the future!

    If I won't forget I will.
Just in case, there is a small hole on the lower part pcb, and switch should be in the center position. It's visible under side of the board and could be moved.

I do believe it is the switch I missed the first time after re-assembly:

Most full logic Personal Stereos seem to use a switch on the board so the electronics knows the position of the mechanism.

You can move switch from underside of the board to middle position. This switch is exactly on the middle of the pic.
It looks more like a fork ;)
