Im having some problems with my WM-D6C: The autostop doesn't work.
I have changed all belts and rollers, but it is only very rarely that it stops at the end of tape. I can't find a lot of information on what could be the cause.

First thing to check is takeup torque by feel. If clutch isn't slipping, but rather the small idler slips auto-stop won't engage.
Also look at the detection lever if it is correctly installed.

My mistake, I wanted to say auto-stop. Edited the post.

The gears which drive the auto-stop mechanism may be sticking. The grease used on these gears often goes sticky after about 30 years. If this is the case, you will need to remove the gears very carefully and clean the old grease from the gears and from the steel shafts which they are mounted onto.
Be very careful removing the spring. It is very delicate and replacements are not available.

That could be the problem, because sometimes (rarely) it does auto stop.
