Hmm ... which is the taller order of our requests, Mart? (Grin) Your seeking a mint-condition Sharp GF-9292 -- clearly one of the "Prince Of Boomboxes" models -- or me seeking a properly working 12-volt Aiwa boombox motor, preferably from an Aiwa CS-600 ... uh, for an Aiwa CS-600U?
Hi Easthelp I'me sure that there is someone out there who is reading this that has what we both want (Double Grin) and may be willing to let it go for enough financial compensation ££££££££££££$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$
So near yet so far! Just got my Sharp GF-9191 back from the restorer last Sunday. I hope someone has a nice 9292 for you. I'm sure someone here must have one but as to whether they would part with it would be another question!
Will continue my search for my dream 9292 - At least i have a couple of decent 9191 models to enjoy for now Just need to find someone on here who wants to DOWNSIZE their collection (Perhaps one day the fellow member who has 258 boxes might want to free up some storage space & de-clutter? )
I'me Still searching for the 92!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (Can you believe it?) Please PM me if you can help. Thanks Martin
i think you got more chance of finding Princess Diana and Elvis doing the jig in my local chippy having just sweapt up some rocking horse poo
if i had one it would be you'rs, there nothing special unless it's sentimental reasons and all, good luck
Hi Raheem Thank you for you're reply Guess it must be sentimental & i just love the look of the 92 (Plus the fact that i haven't seen that many collectable boomboxes in real life to compare it with) My second boombox was a 9191 purchased in 1979 & i still love it to bits - a good 92 would be the icing on the cake for me Hi davbush Can't think of a reply to you're comment at the moment - very very funny!!!! but it will be me that has the last laugh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Let me know what odds you will give me on finding my 92 and we could make a bet if you're interested? (Loser to donate the cash to S2G)
Hi Mart, why not try and get a 9696 instead, that's the top of the line and most likeley better, just a thought mate
UPDATE: FINALLY MANAGED TO FIND ONE!!!!!! Not in the original box - but condition is as near to new as you could get for a Boombox that is nearly 40 years old!!!!
Hooray! Well done. Nine months since your first request here so a good reminder not to give up hope of finding what you want!
