I might take some off your hands if I think I can fix em, RR Agfa Vista 200/400 is a cracking film for the money Henry
Coming back from Geneva yesterday on easyjet. Pictured is a DC2, P-51 Mustang headphone amp and my travel IEM of choice Etymotic ER-4S for up to 44db of noise isolation.
May I commend you for your good taste in IEM? I've had a set many years ago but lost them (on board of a flight!). I have experimented with many alternatives (Shure, UE and now Westone) I really like my Westones Pro-30 but none of the IEMs I've had has been able to match the detail and homogeneous mids to highs from the ER-4S. Maybe I should give the new ER4 XR or SR a try. Have you ever had the chance to hear these and compare them to the ER-4S?
Thanks Middachten. No I have not had the chance to compare the new ER-4SR to my ER-4S yet, I have been meaning to but not found any so far.
Good to know that you can use them on plane. Thanks for sharing Chris. I'm yet to try it but I had no problem on taking my photo bag with me, with a DD9 and headphones inside.
Looks like I am going to get to listen to the Etymotic ER-4SR rather sooner than later. I am just getting ready to fly to Rome tomorrow and I was changing the foam tip on the ER-4S, I managed to snap off the tip of the IEM I need to order a new one so it’s going to have to be the ER-4SR, i will order it directly from Etymotic's site. I will have to use something else for my travel tomorrow. I guess i will have to use my Audio-Technica ATH-CKW1000ANV, it's a 50th Anniversary earbud that Audio-Technica made. You can see it in the left hand corner of the pic below.
Painfull... my thoughts are with you That's how I was forced to my last move to a new IEM: snapped the tip off my Shure 535. There seem to be some re-shelling options for that one however. I don't think that is possible with the ER-4S?
No they don’t fix them, they just sell you new ones. I will trade them in against the ER-4SR and get some money off.
Just to make you more jealous I have 6 and used have 7 but I gave one away. Seriously keep looking and I am sure you will find one at a good price.
We may be the only DC2-less people on the forum, lol. Anyway, enjoy your D6C, it can do great things.
