Hello there First of all i was made of the forum via a youtube channel called tech moan. I have always been a lover of the cassette since I was younger and would like to start collecting again. Would any of have any idea if there's any cassette resellers or shops with in the uk you could recommend. I am a 44 year old newbie so please be gentle.
Hi Glenn, I had the same questions as you when I came back to tape. I’m a long time user of Norman Records, and they do have a tape section where you can sometimes get new releases but mainly I think artists and labels tend to sell tapes direct and for this I use Bandcamp and Soundcloud. A couple of great small labels I’ve found are Data Airlines, and the advantage is you can play tracks for free before buying so its not totally blind https://dataairlines.bandcamp.com/, and also Spun Out of Control https://spunoutofcontrol.bandcamp.com/merch but these are mostly sold out pretty fast. In the past One Way Static made tapes, as did Death Waltz Records before they got bought by Mondo. I also loved this https://kitrecs.bandcamp.com/album/a-revolution-in-customer-service and https://kitrecs.bandcamp.com/album/plage-arri-re. I also bought a tape from Lakeshore Records this week but shipping is really killing me lately so I have to be careful!
