JVC M90

    what’s 1 mans trash is another mans treasure! I bought a JVC M90 on eBay from a man that says a tenant he was renting too left it behind for $249. It’s fully functional with the exception of a dead tape deck. I’m not getting a response from the tape deck at all.

    I found a belt that needs 2 be replaced but there is no sign of functioning when i press the tape deck buttoms?

    You will need to rotate the flywheel to reset the heads. No response with a broken belt is not unusual

    When i say no response i mean there is no sign of power going too the tape deck.

    M90’s have a few fusible resistors in the tape deck that can blow if a belt goes. Mine is the same
