My first proper post on here. I found this one a little while ago, the wife was wanting a Walkman style cassette player for a ages, this came up locally for £4. Works perfectly and she’s very happy with it. Next on the list is to find her an old mini disc player, we have all her dads old mini discs here with his favourite music on, so she’d like to be able to listen to it now and then.

welcome Bmx-Steve I am surprised that our walkman still works. Most of the walkman require belt change at this time. Finding a minidisc is easy since not many people collect minidiscs. I have more than 20 minidisc walkman units and 6 minidisc boomboxes. Make sure the minidisc that you are planning to buy works. It will be difficult to repair a minidisc player to a cassette walkman
Thank you Boodokhan, I have an old 1988 bmw which has a mini disc player and I managed to buy a mint Sony CMT-CP500MD midi type hifi system for very cheap, £20 here. So just need a portable mini disc player to finish off. Also a nice big old boombox, that’s next on my list.
