I bought this 2 weeks ago & became somewhat unwell again before it arrived!

It's absolutely complete & nothing missing - The On button was loose, so I removed it for safekeeping! The Power Board will need to be removed to facilitate repair & this is my next dilemma........

As I kind of feared, this machine is way too complicated & I feel beyond my capabilities :(

Not sure how many of you have seen inside these beasts - They are terrifying & after my recent health scare, I have decided the sensible & right thing would be to let someone with the know how or the cash to spend on getting her repaired........

The problem is simply no power, won't turn on at all which since the power button has come adrift (No signs of breakage with the power button) is hardly surprising!!

I'm being realistic here, I know when I am beat & if I was thirtysomething again, I would have this working I say that with confidence & sadly realising that I would possibly mess up a stereo that no one else but me has ever been inside & is certainly a worthwhile restore!!

Beautiful machine no question & as I already said All There nothing missing at all & conditionwise even before any cleaning & polishing etc is very good & unmolested!!

So there we are with this Stereo - I paid £80 for her & am willing to consider any sensible offers............

One might well ask why don't I just have a go at it?? Have you seen what's involved just to remove the top audio & power/tuner boards?? It's terrifying lol & I know when to concede!!

    UPDATE: 5 August 2018

I have been tinkering with it & thanks to advice from a couple of Facebook stereo groups, I found a fractured wire that feeds the clock - looked connected but inside the insulation, the fracture was complete so no power which I am told it needs to power up! After a battle with very brittle wiring & f**king Mickey Mouse solder (where can I buy some old school 80's or 90's solder??) It powered up & it needs belts but it works now & I am keeping it unless I change my mind but that's unlikely (Just being honest) There will be a follow up thread to the one I an writing on the main forum soonish!!
