Are these adaptors available anywhere? And are they interchangeable with similar model adaptors? The unit can’t be used without the adaptor/remote but I can’t imagine the wiring is complicated. DX100 headphone adaptor is same is 701 and some of EX series. The one on ebay sold by "vintage_walkman_lab_2" is a custom made.
On the listing it states it is compatible with: WM-702, WM-701C, WM-F701C, WM-EX777, WM-EX88, WM-F707, WM-RX707 And after I contacted the seller, dx100. However, I haven’t tested it yet. Wiring wise it appears each pin is the same for all these models. So, it might be ok to assume remotes are also interchangeable. The remote for the dx100 is RM-10D according to google.
These headphone adaptors linked to above from Walkman Labs 2 on eBay work in the dx-100 perfectly. Great result!
