The weather finally cleared up enough for me to dare to take the HS-PX505 for a lunch time walk. Thank you all so very much !!!

It's just a 90 degree stereo jack connector that allows me to have the walkman in a pouch and still do up the top zip.

    Hi Michelle
your walkman is beautiful and as TooCooL4 mentioned the headphone connector and the cord look top quality.
It is always a question for me whether or not less flexible and thick cords and bigger headphone jack can affect the headphone connections during out door activities like running,.....:iconconfused:

The cable is actually part of TY Hi-Z HP-650 phones. I enjoy them. Not hideously expensive, but nice enough for my ears :)

I wouldn't even jog with a walkman now. I did cause some damage to a headphone socket, and never again. I did try and wrap the cable up, so there was a loop under the walkman, but it definitely didn't like it mechanically. I might have to specifically hunt a sports model for that, but I've already got a massive to-do list!
