WM-F77 problems!

Hello!
I changed the belts and idle tyres with my 2 WM-F77. The first one works great untill it suddenly change direction. The other works fine at one direction but sounds terrible when You change direction manually. Do anybady have a experience of these problems and maybe suggestion have to solve them

 

have you tried re aligning the play head in the reverse direction?

 

Thanks for Your advice. Luckily I found the problem on the other Walkman. It was a bad soldering joint on the transport direction switch. Now It is working like heaven, but I still have aproblem with the Walkman changing direction on the go.

 

Now I have found a temporary solution for the other walkman that suddenly goes to a reverse mode. If I first let it spinn in Fw and then back in Rev mode it plays ok. I still would appreciate to find a permanent solution. Can it depend on dirt or lose parts or motor problem?

Does it happen with all cassettes ? After your post about rewinding I'm wondering if a badly wound or sticky cassette could be causing false triggering.

 

It is triggering on both directions with any cassette.
