Joined because this is apparently the place to get Walkman help. Definitely need it...picked up a WM-F15 and something like 5 of the wires are disconnected and I couldn’t even begin to guess where to solder them back on. Not that it would matter, because I’m a terrible solderer anyway. I’m about to post all this in the repair section, but apparently I’m forced to make an introduction post first, so ignore this, I guess.

Welcome Mikamo, good luck fixing your unit, I'm pretty sure if you post a photo of the wires, someone will know where they go.

As far as the soldering I've found that everyone has difficulty at first but the most important thing, besides good eye sight and an third hand, is good equipment. Luckily there's more choices these days and some of the soldering/rework stations from China work just fine for beginners. I've got something like this and have no issues with it, make sure you buy good quality solder and wick, I've noticed a huge difference in ease of use going with better quality.

I've posted some My Mate Vince videos down in the Walkman Section, he starts out with an old school $3.00 soldering iron and keeps moving up to a station similar to below, his experience is just pulling apart electronics and trying to figure out what's wrong, like a lot of people on the forum.
