I recently purchased a Technics portable CD player at a estate sale .the model is SL-XP5 it did not come with the power cord. I was wondering how to find a new power cord to see if it will charge up .seems to be in good condition.looking to either get it running or sell it like it is.

One of my all-time favorite Discmans, but it needs a special adapter with -6V/0V/+6V rails. Next to impossible to find. And that specialized power connector makes it impossible to DIY without major surgery to the player :(

Jorge I saw that on eBay but it says it’s for the Technics-xp7 mine is the Technics xp-5. It looks like the right connection. Do you think the 7 would be the same as the 5.

SL-XP5 has one of the best DACs ever used in a Discman, and its h/p amp can drive Anything!! And it sounds very-very sweet
