Hi! I'm Theo, new here hoping to get some experience in working with Walkmans and when that eventually fails, where to send them to get the care of a more experienced technician!

Thank you for the welcome @Boodokhan My walkmans are nothing super special, but they all have distinct issues. Any Advice Is Appreciated!

-1989 Panasonic RQ-JA52, a basic model that was my go to for a long time until I had to re-solder it and it started chewing my tapes.

-1986 Aiwa TP-26 recorder that has stripped screws on the circuit board, so i can't get to the belt.

-1984 Aiwa HS-P06, the most beautiful machine! But it has a battery compartment that refuses to open, and god knows what other problems.

-1993 Sony WM-FX999, something i recently recieved from a family friend. It only takes gumstick batteries so i am still awaiting shipments on those from Amazon.

Welcome! You will enjoy working on Walkmans, portable devices are so so fascinating once you take them apart and look at the inner workings... My family just don't appreciate how much I love these things :tongue:
    Hope to see you around!
