Welcome Hawker. As other people have commented great pictures. I wonder if you have any "Made in Hong Kong" units in your collection. I have a couple, mainly shops own brands like PrinzSound, although I also have a Philips personal radio made there. It makes me feel nostalgic when I see "Made in Hong Kong". Back in the 1970s and 80s there was loads of cool stuff being made there and it was usually much more affordable than the Japanese made stuff.
I didn't spend much time looking but: The tatty calculator in the middle was my very first one, got as a present in about 1977. I can't see a label on it now but I am sure it was made in Hong Kong. I remember that when new it came in a very nice presentation box with one of those flock coated plastic trays that were popular back then. In 1978 when I took my school exams, the only one we were allowed to use calculators in was Chemistry Practical. Doing a search on eBay I was surprised how many Hot Wheels cars were made in Hong Kong, I shouldn't have been surprised as in the 1970s it was the toy workshop of the world.
hawker, one of our most prolific members lived in Hong Kong, you should look up some of his old posts describing the treasure trove of vintage electronics there. ARKAY used to post here a long time ago and also over on Audio Karma, he had long stories of finding two or three of every grail unit made, sometimes different variations. There seems to be a lot of vintage shops and if your there on the right day you might find a hidden treasure. http://www.stereo2go.com/topic/index.php?board_oid=193392314111653340&content_oid=193392314112296711
