Some of the forum members have been posting beautiful photos of their equipment, let's start a thread where you can nominate a member's photo for The Best Photo Of The Year 2019-2020! I think we should start with last year, we had a few members with mind-blowing collections and even better photography skills. We can make this a two year submission period for the first award (2019-2020). Since I'm starting it, the rules are, cut-n-paste any forum photos, but you can't do your own for the "best photo of the year"! The likes will determine the winner. On January 2nd, 2021, we'll tally the votes. Post as many photos as you want, I usually see 5-20 a year that are over-the-top cool. Other categories can be submitted, if you submit something cool like best barnfind, or most roached, and it's your own, just put it in the title so we know the category. Hopefully going forward the catagories will take a life of their own.
This photo showed up again today, from last year, Hawker's Photo does a great job of not only showing an iconic Walkman but the background and surroundings are outstanding. Hawker showed up out of nowhere and has been posting some outstanding stuff, we're lucky having him, Walkman Archive and Kent and a few others that really put a lot of love into these photos. My equipment and skills are no where near these guys but it's nice to see something to work for and I love when I see they posted something because it's usually pretty special.
Wish I could contribute, but the pains of searching through 2019 posts pains me a-lot!!! There was a photo from our Asian member who has better financing for this hobby than I have for my duty of making my Boss happy (as discussed at length with my neighbor @Boodokhan) where the drawers, the style of Griot’s Garage, were filled with sealed tapes of the making you cannot even dream of nowadays...
I get in a funk if I drop a piece of electronics and break it, I can't imagine your loss, I'd be devastated. There's a cool thread on GarageJournal.com the guy is a professional photographer and jack-of-all-trades, this might be the best guy thread ever but it's really motivational, it's amazing how great photos take a life of their own. https://garagejournal.com/forum/showthread.php?s=e9fb6fcd865269d1c717fd472c1c5a91&t=185104
