Hey guys. I've found an old Aiwa from 95` at my in law's. The Aiwa HS-PX347. It's in really good condition but I wonder, is it any good? Cause I'm looking at an OK walkman for every day use and maybe this could be it. Thanks!

I tend to avoid any AIWAs with the smaller case logo, aiwa. In 1992 AIWA sold majority ownership to Sony (who already owned a good portion of the company going back to the 60's). Sony changed marketing direction and put aiwa more in a mass-market consumer driven model. Oddly this was extremely successful but the units tend to be mid-level at best, there are a few exceptions. Your unit actually looks pretty nice and would make a great unit for daily use. It's a good starting point and you can figure out if you need something else like radio or recording features or even if you want to really get into the nicer quality units.

Thank you Mister X! That's very valuable information for someone who's just starting into cassettes. I have a Sony TC S1 so I can test the difference in sound quality. Just wanted to make sure that's not a well known junky unit so I won't waste my time.
