    A business is probably paying that bot service to post their link everywhere. Perhaps to trick Google into thinking they're a popular business.

    Another suggestion which wouldn't need any intervention from the mods would be to limit the number of posts a person could make in a day. I doubt if the most enthusiastic members have ever posted more than about ten posts a day. On Youtube the number of comments you can make on one video is limited. I actually hit that limit making genuine replies to lots of comments. While it wouldn't stop people setting up multiple user names it would stop one person from posting irrelevant spam in dozens of threads in one day.

    If you ever need to, send me a pm and I'll hop on. I'm always about. I couldn't ban anyone until recently as the command had disappeared, this seems to have now been rectified so I'll be more vigilant now with instant bans for spammers.
