This Geeto blaster arrived today! Got it nice & cheap & been after a nice one to add to my Sharp boomers............ It needs no introduction, we all either had one or knew someone that did! A nice budget machine no frills but good tape deck & tuner & a nice very 80's looking stereo! This needs the full auto stop repairing & that's about it These stero's are arguably Sharp's biggest seller in the 1980's - They sold 1000's of this model, sometimes with a slightly different front panel & appearance! However, they are all the same inside, some having 2 Short wave bands instead of long wave like mine has! (UK Model) As I said these stereo's will not raise the roof or blast bass in yer face - They just deliver a nice balanced sound & were certainly built to last! I think so many were used as the bulletproof workhorses they turned out to be..........That's why it's not easy to find one in great condition It must be 10 years or so I have passed so many by as they had clearly had a tough life & I insist on good to great condition otherwise I leave boomers like that to others......... Anyway, Here she is! Et Viola: Video's Of Most Of Mine In 4K! https://onedrive.live.com/?id=BEA218B70F2B18D1!23602&cid=BEA218B70F2B18D1
nice, the 6060 is quite an excellent sounding machine for it's size, used to own one, not as nice as yours - great score !
Late to the party, but just had to say nice GF 6060! I have a real soft spot for this model as it was my 13th birthday present back in October 1982. I was thrilled to bits with it and I still remember the track I heard the first time I switched it on....Zoom, Fat Larry's Band on Essex Radio! Many happy years taping Top 40s, listening to my mix tapes and surfing the airwaves on this were had. I've still got that very same GF 6060, although it's a bit loved in and tired, but I hope to restore it sometime soon. I also managed to pick up a boxed GF 6060 with the original manual, circuit diagram and 1982 Sharp catalogue about ten years ago on eBay. The unit itself is mint, and is my prize possession, although the radio needs some work I think. FM works just fine, but AM/MW and SW doesn't seem to do much. Well remember scanning the SW band for hours on end back in the 80s. I'll post some photos of it soon. Once again, nice 6060 you have there! Steve
