I am rather new to the whole active speaker scene and have been using a pair of active edifer's in place of a stereo receiver/amp. I plan to use a ballari eq between my cassette deck and the speakers and see no reason why this wouldnt work. Can you guys confirm that this is plausible. I was thinking that the speakers may have a protection circuit and shut down if I hook an eq into them.
I hooked everything up today and just "went for it". The speakers did buzz when I plugged them into the eq but once I turned everything on, it worked just fine. I was very impressed with this little eq. It is a huge improvement over the tone controls on the speaker.
