Bought a box with old cassettes today. Mostly trash, but with a few gems including these Japanse tapes from the 70's. The pink Jimi Hendrix 'best of'' tape differed that much from the known 'The best of' version", that i made a new master release on Discogs. Can't find anything about this album online. The orange Pink Floyd cassette (Wish You Were Here) and White/Green 'Fleetwood Mac, Rumoers' are misses the inlay, but still great to have.
Awesome find, hopefully they are playable, they don't look like bootlegs. The Warner Pioneer Connection is interesting....
Played the middle segment of the tapes to test the (sound) quality and they play and sound better then expected
A great find. I have been thinking we need a thread similar to "on the turntable" but for tapes. I've recently been listening to home recordings from the mid 1970s and again they sound as good/bad as they did then.
. Good idea, i listen to both vinyl and cassettes (and sometimes 8 track). When you buy music, the downside with cassettes is that it is harder to 'predict' if the sound quality is ok and sellers don't seem to grade them as thorough as vinyl.
