This is my lovely Aiwa AD-6500 tape deck. It's in the process of recovery (another one..), namely, transistor replacements, capacitor replacements and get a new power switch. There is a great video on this deck by "Classic HiFi Reviews" (seen showing in one photograph), but although it's about the same model, I've noticed it must be a different release as some components are different. Great looking deck, I might have one old silver-faced AIWA out in the shop but didn't turn up very often at our local thrift stores. I remember seeing a nice one back when they were $5.00 USD but I just didn't have room for it at the time, I'm still kicking myself 12 years later. I posted the ad from 1977 down in the tape deck ad thread.
