Hola ! I'm here because I was given a vintage Sony Boodo Khan DD-100 in great condition. I was just looking to sell it since I'm not a collector or anything.
Yeah, I've seen them go for over a grand ! Thing is, I'm not an audiophile or an enthusiast of the area. I've got too many other things going on to play with these things lol Honestly, If I had more time, I'd love to dabble and get invested in collecting. Too damn poor ATM tbh lol I gotta sell it unfortunately !
An audiophile would not buy a DD-100, it valuable because of the legendary name. It’s valuable to collectors but I guess not to people that just want something for listening pleasure. If you are not a collector and are not interested in it, sell it and take the money and run while people are still paying big money for them. From my personal prospective, it’s all about the music first hence I don’t collect anything. If you look in my sig below, all my units are for pure music listening and I rotate to a different one each week. None of them are for collection and me to look at, it has to be working and functional and sound good else I don’t want it.
What doo you rotate them for ? I barely started learning about this stuff since I was given the Boodo Khan since I don't know much. ITS DEFINITELY ABOUT THE MUSIC FIRST !!!! You got that right
Since I use them for my daily commute to and from work. One week I use a DC2, the following I use another DC2, the week after that I use a DD9, after that I use a D6C then back to the beginning again. That way they all get a good work out.
Wow, very nice ! What's the red device at the bottom left ? You prolly have a large collection of cassette tapes I'm assuming ?
The red device is a headphone amp, Ray Samuels P-51 Mustang. It drives and controls the headphones much better than the built-in amp in the Walkman. I always use the line-out of the Walkman. I do have a few different types of cassettes, the quest for quality drove me to try many different brands. I settled on TDK MA-XG a long time ago and that is what I have the most of.
