I've been searching high and low for Kenwood DPC-361 AC adapter W08-0636. I purchased adapter W08-0014 thinking they might be the same, but the opening on the unit is smaller than on the adapter. Will someone please share what other Kenwood adapters are equivalent to W08-0636? I appreciate in advance your assistance!
well, how many batteries does the unit take ? the ps serves 6 volts, wich is equivalent to 4 1.5 volt cells - if your unit is designed for 4 batteries and the plug fits, it should do (plus and minus on the plug seem right). if the player is designed for 2 batteries and there‘s no indication that 6 volts do, then leave it…
I use a wall wart with different voltage settings, it has a bunch of different size tips that can be inserted 2-ways so you can change polarity. For under $20 USD you should be able to power just about any portable.
I realized that the Kenwood adapter that I have is 12V. I'm tired of dealing with it, so I ordered a universal adapter with multiple tips for $13.60 shipped. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B09WMS6K9C/ Thanks everyone for your input!
They're really handy to have, I've bought Casio Keyboards for cheap, they use the opposite polarity as most everything else so when stores test them with a hard-wired wall-wart they don't get power. With the rotatable tips you can change that.
