the counter of my beloved Superscope CRS-4803S broke - anybody out there who‘s got replacement for me, knows a source or has a junker ?
If it's just the button, can you mold one? I was hoping to try doing some of my crusty boxes this winter if time permits. Lot's of missing dials and buttons to replace.
Mister X , sounds like you are expecting a busy winter . I had the last week off so I was working on a few projects mostly tube radios but I did restore my 1950s Zenith Royal 500. Autoreverse they are fairly common side even a old home cassette deck but is it just the button that is broken ! If I knew what was needed I could use my Fusion 360 and design it and use my classroom 3d printer . Sincerely Richard
yes, richard, it's just the button that broke. i dunno who else got one of those boxes taken apart: it's a pain in the bud. i broke the button myselfe. either i'm missing on some special clue disassembling it, there's almost no way putting that baby together without harming the button. i'll check where i have the rests - do you need pics, or the button-rests ?
thanks loads, mate ! anybody from the UK needs the rest ? otherwise shipping and costums make it not worth for me....
i can't buy it conrad as i don't have ebay anymore bro because of their effing verification system lad
Make friends with someone who owns a 3-D printer. Have them make a new one, it should only take 1-2 hrs.
Hello Systemsbuilder , forsure I use Fusion 360 to design a lot parts and 3-d is the way to go also shapeways is a company who will 3d print parts for you . Sincerely Richard
Has the button broken and fallen inside the box ? I have had that happened before. Having retrieved the button I glued it back together but with use the repair didn't last very long (months). A modern adhesive like Sugru might work better than the Araldite I used.
i broke the button myselfe when i had the box apart(this one is a pain in the bus, believe me). i had it glued, but it didn‘t last, i used 2 component glue UHU plus 300
