I couldn't find another thread for Sharp, let's start a new one! Sharp MD-D10 from 1993 I found this one on www.archive.org
After looking at a Sharp Calculator advert on Youtube I got recommended some more The 80s is strong in this one ........... especially the shoulder pads As late as 2001 Sharp were being innovative I recall seeing Sharp demonstrate a 20" LCD TV back at an AV show in the mid 1990s. Cutting edge technology back then They had a dedicated room for it with a security guard ! A nice overview of the company although not much interesting in the last decade.
Sharp from 1982, I love how they put a lot of work into this design with different versions of the vertical turntable. When new I thought they had a lot of plastic but they really put a lot of engineering into the design and plastic molding.
Sharp BXG-700 from 1964, I love the flip top I wonder how it works? This gives us a good currency calculator, it looks like a US Dollar is 362 Yen in 1964
It is all shown in this video Not quite what I expected. I was wondering if the stylus would track from underneath the record. It looks as if the lid is required to press the record into the drive roller.
Wow, it's almost like a prototype it's so chunky but it looks really cool when it's running. I have to believe this was aimed at the tourists who wanted a James Bond styled turntable and they brought them back home to show their bewildered neighbors.
