I find that some Walkmans pick up interference every so often when placed in the vicinity of my iPhone and laptop.

Also Bluetooth speakers make a bit of noise/interference too.

Behind the scenes I have been adding information to the DD genealogy and Dolby C overview: one new attribute is interference suppression.
From the DD1 (‘87) till the end of the DD lines (DD22-DD33), all models including the DX100 - except the DD9 - feature this.
In manuals it is listed as 76/889/EEC and/or 87/308/EEC.
I did indeed experience less interference while using the Walkmans in this range that are available to me.

I believe the headphone cable or the built-in antenna is picking up the signals from your wireless device and transferring it to the speakers. I get a rapid-fire beeping noise whenever my phone is near one of my boomboxes and it's playing from the Line In cables or FM radio.
