I'm new here, indeed! I just bought my first high quality boombox, a Sanyo M 9994LU. Now, I'm into it! When I ask the community here to advise me on another boombox with build quality and sound quality at LEAST on par with my Sanyo, what would be the answer? I has to feature at least radio and cassette, but I'm open to newer ones with radio, cassette and CD. I once heard a large Panasonic with CD, and was completely amazed by its sound quality, but unfortunately, I never took notice of the type. It was a more modern one, flat, and deep in shape, with 4 large speakers and I think some kind of bass reflex / bass tube system built-in. Maybe someone knows which one I mean?
I tried to add a picture now, but I'm unable to do that. I only see things like URL and somewhere I read in the tutorial that this was "not needed". Well... I took a picture specially with low resolution (0.3 MP) but... how to attach it remains a miracle for me.

The Sanyo M 9994LU looks like a heavy hitter, there's not going to be a ton of competition when your looking for another big dog. Personally I'd look for a Marantz/Superscope CRS-4000, I'm using one now for daily use and the more it gets used the smoother the sound is, almost like full size Marantz Components. The bass is nice and they look great and there seems to be a lot of them floating around Europe, more than here. Another cool one with similar styling to yours is the JVC M70 and it was pretty popular so it's easy to find good working versions.
