I`ve seen this in an old well-known german Crime Series "Tatort" from 1981 . What deck this could be ? With the cassette holder on right side it could be an JVC, but i didn`t found it in the web.
I'm not seeing JVC, it looks like that main knob is on all the components (TT on top?). JVC Transports are usually closer to the right side and the reciever doesn't look familer at all. JVC had some wild recievers that tended to not look "normal," I have one that has rack handles on the sides but it's the only normal looking one I own.
Yes, i now compared with many JVC decks - nothing be similar to the seen one. So also the shape of the cassette holder with this special angled limpid cassette pane isn`t to find at any deck, i`ve looked for. So what could it be ? There are not so many decks with transports on right side. There are some Grundig, but the "Righties" all have open cassette holders. Unfortunally the quality of the record in the TV archive don`t allows a closer view. ... meanwhile looking -!! have found it : https://www.hifi-wiki.de/index.php/Philips_N5381 Thats because i thought about, that it is a german tv series - they like to use Philips , i mean it was an advertise agreement... ;-)
We didn't get much from Philips over here, some stuff came over as Magnavox but the stereo equipment is super-rare. I was happy to find a little 212 Turntable a few years back, I think they are super nice looking
The Hifi-Wiki website is listing about 150 cassette decks from Philips, but i`ve seen only a few in my life at family or friends . The most, i`ve seen, were in Movies, like James Bond , and even in the german TV series.
