I bet these e-bay sellers hold up the motor and say it rotates CW or CCR based on... their perspective. From the front... or viewing from the back. "Oh it was CW when you view the motor from behind" etc., If you know what I mean.

I'm not really blaming the sellers. I'm blaming the people that put the sticker on the side of the motor. They just don't know what the hell they're doing.
When I tried repairing the Panasonic RX 5030 I needed a motor and it has to be a clockwise motor. Well, I went through and tested nearly 40 motors that I bought over the years, including some that were supposedly CW and they're not. They're CCW, but they're labeled with the factory label of CW and the way I tested it was simply by putting nine volts or 12 volts, whatever the voltage was said on the side of the sticker to the motor and see whichever side turn the fastest or had the most torque or speed. And I discovered that most of my CW motors are actually CCW which really dissed me. To me as you stare at the shaft and the outputs that's the way you should know what direction it is. That's why I put the propeller on there. Easier to see it that way.
