I’m going to have my Sony CRF-330K Radio all new Electric Capacitors Replaced. Can someone tell me what Pinch Roller to Purchase for the Cassette Deck? All the Rubber Parts are gone since it was built in 1978. I looked on EBay & there are several sizes to pick from. Here is the Original Sony Part Number out of there Service Manual from 1978
X-3545-548-0 which is for the Complete Pinch Roller Assembly which includes the Metal bracket with the Axel pin that is Crimped on both sides. I see some on EBay that have Brass Metal Bushings with the Rubber Tires & you get (5) in a Package will (1) of them work out? Did Sony use a certain kind of pinch roller in 1978? I’d sooner the Bushing be metal than White Plastic. So any ideas? I ordered (2) other pulleys today & they have to come directly from Sony in Japan. Pinch Roller has been Discontinued.

On your machine the pinch roller is actually physically missing or destroyed? Pinch rollers can just be cleaned thoroughly with a hard cotton swap / Q-tip in 70% alcohol I find. The layers of oxide and dirt come off bit by bit slowly until clear black rubber returns. I have done that with about five 70's boomboxes now. The pinch rollers were all solid no problems after 45 to 53 years. I was probably just lucky.

Where did your order the pulley parts in Japan from? I would like to see a website link because it would be a good resource that I might need one day!

having another Problem I’ve been trying to Order (4) items off of Yahoojapan & PayPal said no Asian Purchases at all. So is there a way around this? My Bank also said no Asian Purchase they said Mastercard has a block on all Asian Nations. And they won’t use Ebay. So is there any way around this? I needed the Complete Capacitor kit for this Radio & only Australia had it & my Bank gave me 24 hours to Purchase the kit they unblocked Australia but the Purchase had to be Quick & fast. My God I only want 4 printed items from Japan & my Bank said Mastercard are the ones & also PayPal are also saying no way!! Does anyone have know a way around this so I can purchase these?

I have heard this before, Mastercard blocking all of Asia purchases, maybe Visa are ok, guess that is a solution? I am surprised Paypal blocks direct buying also now. Read up on Visa and if they are ok get one of those maybe. (I was considering buying some Nikon binoculars direct from the Kyoei-Osaka.jp store, like a lot of people do on the astro forums, to get a lower price, but now I wonder how they do it or are they using different cards?)
