    Hi all,

after I sold my Nagra IVs tape recorder a year ago, I re-entered the tape game with a Sony TC D5 pro2.
Got it for just 170 EUR in perfect working condition, from a guy that found it in the garbage!

I want to record delicate music with this thing, and being an audio engineer in my previous life I want to achieve the highest quality possible. Is there a way to increase the speed during playback/recording?

I found posts where some folks mentioned their d5 pro2 was running on double speed due to IC failure.
I'd rather want to mod in a way it becomes a feature! Any ideas anybody?

P.S. I dont own a smartphone so I took a image from google. Anybody knows this mic by any chance?

    Keep it rollin!

    Monk

There is more to it than just running it at double speed, EQ, will have to be modified and various other things etc will need to be modified too.

Check out A.N.T. Audio he did modify a Tascam to do what you are trying to do.
