Hi, Does anyone here know how fix this walkman? The radio is working fine, the motor is running but needs a new belt.
I have a service manual but uncomfortable to open up the unit ( I tried it once and it ended up as a junk). Now I got a new one and don’t want to ruin it.
If you know anyone who can repair this please let me know.
    Thank you

There's a thread on here with world-wide repair shops but they are scattered around and some are gone. Unfortunately with vintage stereo exploding I think a lot of the traditional repair shops are even less accepting of small portables, knowing there's more profit in the larger equipment.

    Thanks Mr. X
I used to ask some of the members ( for example : dr Walkman, Sergui ….) to repair my Walkman in the past and hope to see that someone who familiar with this unit can help me. I reached out to the member that I was dealing with but he told me that this unit is more complex and he didn’t want to mess it up.

I have a shelf queen version, I should pull it down and see how complicated it is, sadly most of my units need belts now and my van player is cutting out on a channel. Here's another source that might have an answer for you, he used to post on here all of the time.

Within the last two years at least 2 new members have signed up and said they work on Walkmans.
