An Aiwa HS-J9 just sold on Buyee for about $1150 USD. On the plus side it was a beautiful and rare blue color, in "mint" condition and came with a case. On the downside there were no other accessories and there was no specific claim about its operational status. I'd guess a collector that has been wanting a rare blue model for a long time. The portables probably have less of a corrosion issue than boomboxes get, fuzzy photos = corrosion but I've had lot's of luck just guessing and hoping for the best.
