    Hi all,

I wanted to see if anyone has managed to retrofit a 1980s 12V (8 D Cells) JVC boombox with a LiPo or Li-Ion battery pack? Assuming there is enough room inside (or using the battery compartment), does anyone have a successful formula/BOM? I am not looking to just use rechargable D cells that need to be removed from the unit. I am thinking something like this attached image. There are lots of parts out there and I am capable to do the integration, but would appreciate any experience shared. As a side note, can retro JVC units handle the higher voltage or do I need the 12V regulator? Any thoughts would be appreciated!

    Thank you. jvc.jpg

Google this, Znter. It's the only battery I use anymore.
