Just scored some DR-S3 cans (same as the DR-S100) that were sold with the DD100 Boodo Khan. Anyone have thoughts on them? Can't say I was that impressed with the DR-S5 with volume and tone pots, but I'm going to recap them and then listen again. Wool pads pulled over the drivers was my initial thought. Compared with the MDR-51 or MDR-V6, I'd like to think something approaching equal... Cheers GB
I didn’t like the S3 when I used them, but at the time they would have been pretty good. I agree about the pads, the basic plastic on your ear isn’t much to write home about
