Hi all. I’m slowly getting together a small collection of 80s tech. Mainly entertainment based as opposed to commercial stuff like computers and phones (although I’ve a Spectrum and C64 to be refurbished). It’s just a nostalgia thing and seems to be leaning towards Sony items. Perhaps they were just screwed together better back in the day. I try my best to repair things I acquire so I practice on cheaper, semi-scrap kit which will never work anyway! However I’m putting up a request in the ‘Wanted’ section which I’ll mention here. It’s a Stop/Eject button (lever assembly) for a Sony WM-4 Walkman. Maybe someone knows a 3D printing service that can knock one out? Anyway - that’s me 60-odd years old finally getting all the things I wanted in my 20’s!
A lot of us are in the same situation, personally I love the builds and designs from years ago and since they made so many variations, it's easy to get sucked into collecting. Good luck with your quest, I'm not familar with the button but members have also resin-casted parts.
