Unique and bright sound of your boombox may improve your boring indoor stereo and decorate it as well. Take all necessary measurements and build your custom sized stand. Put your boombox on top of your stand and connect it the way you prefer. I would recommend to make the overall height of your stand (with your boombox) equal to the height of your main speakers. Also I've made my vertical parts /sides of the stand/ twice thicker than top and bottom parts. Width of your stand should be exactly equal to the width of your boombox. Any furniture material like MDF is good . Matte color will make your stand less noticeable .
