Tonight I pulled my Toshiba RT-8710S & it's blasting ABC's Lexicon Of Love from 1982

Absolute classic album without one bad track & legendary production (Trevor Horn)

Sounds very nice & mellow on this stereo, one of my absolute bargains of 2018 & wanted for years so time to enjoy it!!

Great box nickeccles, I've seen some over the years but they tend to go for decent money so no luck yet. It's one of those designs where you can tell they let the guys run wild and they came up with something cool. The antenna may be in the running for the most expansion when in use category.

ABC was one of my favorites but I pretty much liked all music, my day job was driving and I had to have variety to stay awake. That album was different in a good way but How to be a Zillionaire was huge over here and even the hardcore punk-rock guys loved it. They kind of disappeared after that but a lot of those mid-late 80's band crapped out as well.

Martin Fry ABC's lead singer is still a regular on the Retro Circuit. Like many Trevor Horn produced bands; e.g Dollar, and Frankie goes to Hollywood, ABC relied on him for their lush sound, and weren't the same when he moved {along with Fairlight player Anne Dudley) to his next band, which would have been Propaganda or The Art of Noise.

An interesting comment about "How to be a Zillionare / Millionare" which tanked in the UK charts after the No.1 successes of Lexicon of Love.

p.s Knowing that Mr X likes skating, a special treat for him which could only have been produced by Trevor Horn
