I posted this little guy right before the last forum was retired. It's cool so I'll show it again, the GE Stereo Microcassette Recorder. Just a hair smaller than a typical Walkman, this is part of a larger boombox that includes a TV Set which was in OK condition but I haven't had time to look it over for repairs yet. So my understanding from your post is that this one is a detachable microcassette walkman.
Can you please show some picture of the boombox as well with the walkman inside the unit? thanks
( i have a small collection of boomboxes with detachable walkmans and i am very much interested in these series)

Yes, right, this boombox is a General Electric 4CM3326X which is simply a rebadged Sharp CT-5001. Pretty standard business for GE back in the day. :)

I have never seen this one before. I searched eBay and couldn't find one. This model is very unique

Cool. I like the squareness (is that a word?) of the full unit, a micro cassette Walkman is very cool too
