In case anyone is wondering what happened Goldstar (or Gold Star as they seem to be calling themselves) they became LG. What I have learnt today is that the "Lucky" part of the same business made products like toothpaste.
Mr X. Goldstarbrings back some memories. The only Goldstar I ever owned was a Goldstar 386sx computer 16 Mhz with 2mb of ram. I then updated it to 25 Mhz with 4Mb of ram. It was back in the eighties I think but I remember it was rather expensive. How times have changed.
We had very few Korean Brands over here, Hyundai was one of the first to crack the market but those cars rusted on contact with water. I've found a few ads for electronics but they were mostly in California. The boomboxes aren't bad looking, check out the Samsung Ad I just posted, they were both players back then.
