Hi, I have a pair of Sony MDR-64, and I would like to use them with a smartphone. The problem is that this kind of headphones doesn't had the microphone. I saw on the web that there are some cables with microphones for headphones, that have male and female jack, but I don't know if they could be usable with this kind of old headphones. Do you think that it can works well or not?
This is possible. There are many adaptors which work with Bluetooth. You plug you headphones into the adaptor, and you can put your phone in the next room and answer calls. Like this: SZMDLX Bluetooth Receiver Bluetooth Adapter Aux (Bluetooth 4.2, Hands-free Calling, A2DP, Clip Design) Wireless Portable Aux Bluetooth Receiver Car Kits for Home & Car Audio with 3.5 mm Stereo Output https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0767CL99C/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_tai_Pd3nCbTDSJRED
I would buy usbc to mini jack adapter. It would be cheaper and you would get most probably better quality
