As others have been stating, Quintus L Ferguson: welcome to Stereo2Go . You actually have a Sharp WF-939? The dual-shortwave-band "-Z" version, right? With the cassette decks playing, recording and all? Now that should be a fair sight for S2Gers :nodding:.

I am glad you like the Amstrad. There was a thread on here a few years ago about them.

I wonder if you are familiar with the Amstrad name.
The companies founder is now the man saying "Your Fired" in the UK version of The Apprentice.
Being a Lord he says he has no plans to try to become Prime Minister :old:

A quick picture of him in relation to your 8060

    and catalogue scan

    https://www.google.co.uk/search?biw.....0.0.0....0.1oqXd3QAOL4#imgrc=sC7nYBBweY8_sM:

£179 was about 60% of the price of a Sharp VZ2000.
Amstrad were always very much a "value for money brand".
Where they really made their money was in computers, having 25% of the European market back in the mid 1980s.

It would be interesting to know how much design input Amstrad as a company had into this.
This same box is around under a different brand but with a large woofer in place of the turntable.

I wonder how much shipping the 8060 cost to the USA ?

55E is what it cost but it got damaged so it was free for the Amstrad and shipping
