Hi everyone, I’m Steve, 43 years old, I live in Leeds, UK. I’m into anything retro, one of my main hobbies is Bmx bikes, mainly older ones from the 1980s and sometimes mid 1990s. I’m also into old cars and motorbikes. I’ve been after an old boombox for a while now and not done a great deal about it. I was at the UKs biggest old Bmx show at the weekend and a few lads had their old boomboxes and it got me thinking that it’s time to get one. Hopefully I’ll have one in the next week or two and be able to show you guys what I've got.
I got my name from the little BMX'rs, they heard of this mythical half-pipe across town in the late 80's and they named me Mister X, the unknown owner of the unknown ramp. After a lot of searching and late night run-ins with skaters they finally found the ramp. Enduring a lot of begging, I finally allowed a handful to ride BMX on the ramp, mostly since they were also skaters and had the proper respect. Lewman was one of those runts, those were the days.... Welcome aboard and great Photo Northerner! I love the beach.
Welcome Steve, vintage bmxs and Boomboxes go so well together. You may even find one for sale on the forums. Be great to see some pics of your bikes.
